What inspires us to love?
To care and smile and kiss and hug.
What inspires hearts to bloom?
Full of love and still more room.
What inspires us to share?
To speak our minds and give with care.
What inspires gifts we give?
When we only have to thrive; To live.
What inspires us to laugh?
Despite all things that we don't have.
What inspires not a frown?
And lift our spirits when we're down.
What inspires hearts to darken?
The tempting evil that always harkens.
What inspires the blooms to die?
And leaves us all to hurt and cry.
What inspires all the greed?
The things we want that we don't need.
What inspires shallow minds?
And all the things they leave behind.
What inspires us to cry?
To hurt ourselves and wish to die.
Waht inspires all this pain?
And things we do but can't explain.
What inspires us to kill?
This urge to hurt we can't fulfill.
What inspires all the hate?
And by time we're helped, it's far too late.
What inspires us to dream?
And what can all the nightmares mean?
I don't quite know, but I can guess,
Our inspiration caused this mess.
