I hear my heart beating, inside my chest.
It's yelling at me, and I want to confess.
"I love you" Why's it so hard to say?
It's the fact that I fear he may not feel the same way.
I see him coming closer, and all my muscles tense.
I listen to my heartbeat until real words make no sense.
His arms wrap around me in a warm embrace,
And his lips press to mine with the sweetest taste.
'This is it!' I think urgently to myself,
'This is the time! I must tell him now!'
But how could I in anyway say it?
My mouth had no words my mind said could fit.
I opened my mouth, but with nothing to say,
Then I closed it again, I'm not telling today.
