|THEME| There's a hidden message, I believe. I think maybe it was half a representation of my twisted humour (fifty points if you catch it!) and perhaps half something subconsciously prying at my insides, but either way, I felt inspired to write something along these lines.
|STYLE| Nothing in particular -- but freestyle, nonetheless.
|NOTES| This was random. Like, I seriously thought of it only moments before opening up a new thread and typing it. That's how random it is.

Pick a card --
Any card.
Memorize that card,
Because it's your life-line.
Do you remember your card?

Now put it back --
No, no, not there!
Here!
That's right, put it there.
Now watch closely.

Do you remember what I said?
Right!
That card was your life-line.
Now watch as I find your card.
Are you watching?

Pay close attention while I shuffle these some more.
Okay, hold out your hand.
That's right.
Good, good! Just like that!
Are you ready, now?

Is this your card?
Do you see what happens when you put your life in someone's hands?
Oh dear, I never knew anyone had that much blood!
Well, it seems you learned your lesson.
Maybe you'll think harder next time before you rely on tricks and games.

Okay, let's see. It seems like it was kind of a vengeful thing - with the cynical ending kind of an interesting way to put it. Kind of like an 'oh well, you do it, i do it too' thing. I'm not sure. That's what I'm getting out of it.

It was good , especially in that you set the mood as a dark, serial killer kind of mood. Creepy- on edge - with something constantly on the edge, about to snap. Very good. I liked it very much, although the deeper meaning was confusing and I think lost on me. I apologize if what I thought the meaning was is off, but that's what I got out of it.

Actually, that's what I was thinking, as well. Hm ... "That's what I was thinking," as though I don't know what it was about. xD Anyway, yes -- writing this actually inspired me to work on a short story very similar to this, though I've yet to start it. I actually pictured a joker the whole time, and then I imagined someone dying ... Hmmm. xD

Anyway, thanks! First thing I wrote in forever, so I'm glad it's liked.

Yeah, a joker is definitely a perfect image of this. I can't believe I couldn't put that to words.

I'd love to read a short story based off of this, it sounds very interesting - kind of a twist on the original joker on batman.

Although I won't lie, Heath Ledger did an incredible job on it.

I never got into that movie. Yeah, I loved the Joker, but the movie itself just ... didn't catch my attention.

Okay. xD I don't know where I'll find the time to write it, though.
