Rules for Debates:
1. Respect. I daresay that everyone saw that one coming. Whether the argument is flawed, weak, or completely juvenile, respect that person's opinions enough to sound logical when you reply. Please do not start bashing his or her lifestyle or personal habits. It's not nice, and I won't stand for it. Sometimes, it's better to examine both sides. (Sigmund Freud once said: "If you don't know your opponents side, you don't really know your own.")
2. Put thought into your responses. I'm not going to put a posting minimum for the section because that'll just stunt what you want to say, but if you're just going to respond with yes or a no, perhaps you should do the responsible thing and not post. You know that saying if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all? Well, that might apply here.
3. Please, please, please keep the debates separated. I don't want to see whether pink or green goes best with a yellow backdrop in the philosophical debates. I will delete the thread and smite you with my iron fist.
4. Anyone can start a debate, anyone can respond, and you can open as many topics as you want. There is no max or minimum. Don't be shy!
5. All topics are allowed, but if the topic is for mature audiences, warn members in the title of the thread.
6. Be creative! Have fun!
7. Post the question in the title, and pose it to the forum to see who bites. Please also go into detail about specific meanings of your question in your first post, and feel free to give your own side of the story in your first post.
Common sense dictates that the staff reserves the right to edit any of the aforementioned material, whether it's adding, removing, or changing. Please uphold any changes.
