|Notes| It's... Not about Chris. Amazingly.. >>
There you are
disguised in flesh, in blood.
Your eyes, they fall upon me
and lock.
And then you look right through me
to linger with the pain and
I can softly whisper your
broken-hearted promises.
Your hands find mine- they're hopeful.
Gripping me with strength.
'please don't leave me dangling - I've never been on a cliff
this high
before.'
Pink rose petals rain like water
down on us and his feet find rock.
I pull him up towards me- anticipation so great it is fear.
And it is a long second before...
He throws himself on straightened land and pulls me to his arms
envelops me with worried kisses everywhere but my lips
finally finding worthiness in his heart to come to me.
His eyes, alight with hope- anew!
'I'll take care of you.'
I look at him, my eyes guarded as if I am a child with a stranger.
But oh, I am no child and he is no stranger.
We fall together on this grass so sweet! So green!
The blades tickling our faces.
The sun is shining upon us-
our features alight with the light cast only upon happiness.
The air is twinkling with our smiles, our laughter.
A silkscreen haze - for surely reality is not so.
But oh, it seems so with you.
I can clearly remember a night that we fell down as lovers and
rose up as lovers? friends?
I want you for more than innocent love
but the innocent is oh, oh so appealing.
'I'll never make you do
anything you don't want to.'
I swear, I never knew you
until I knew you.
I think I never saw you
'til you whispered my name.
I think I never loved you
until I felt Love die.
You pulled me into a dance and one we know so well.
A dance as US; as whatevers.
We don't need to be labeled to be.
For how can you label a love
so spontaneous and pure
so weightless like a feather
that it could be gone the next day?
There is a light beneath you
(ironic- a light for a light)
and it drags me so close that
your arms are at my fingertips and your lips
are a whisper away.
Our doors were all closed
Our backs together in fear
'Twas then we noticed the window
and walked to it.
The light was pure, innocent - a sacrosanctity..
And it fell on us.
