A woman, stronger than the world stands,
and she weighs the options.
Gives her own life for that of her child -
'I cannot take mine for that of an
Innocent.'
'I am far more tainted
than this child could be.
I love you all,
I love you Lord,
Amen'
With her last breath,
she spoke those words.
A child, a girl, with a bear dangling from her
pale hand. She stands, and stretches
her arms up to a man
who had hurt her, ever forgiving, ever
forgetting.
'Hello Daddy, I
Missed you at work today.
If you'd please, today,
Let me be alone tonight,
Because I'm feeling rather
Tired anymore.'
She holds her Daddy tighter,
not wanting to hurt him with
Her words.
She drops down to the floor,
her tip toes drifting to the hardwood.
She dances away like a
Ballerina , unafraid , like the ones she sees
In shows.
A man who has stretched out limbs
that Gravity wore down on so.
He stands, and wraps his arms around the pillowcase
of his recently dead. He cries bitter tears
into the scent of his wife of
four years. He still awakens, still reaches
to her side of the bed, expecting her warm body to
welcome him. Instead, he is welcomed by a ghost,
and his nightmares taint the touch freezing.
But he stands, and he holds his four
Year old daughter in his frail arms.
He stands, and takes his daughter to school,
her blonde hair so reminding him of his beloved.
He only cries ,
When she can't see him.
A songwriter, with passionate eyes Stands!
And he screams the lyrics with which he
Cannot find true meaning for.
He reaches his arms to the ceiling, to
a God he never believed in.
He reaches, lets his guitar tumble to
The ground, and pleads with this man, this Terrible, Terrible man.
'Withdraw your boundaries of language from me,
God - you do not scare me because I know your true ways.
I know your secret tendencies to Love us.
Man says you SMITE, and you STRIKE DOWN, but I believe,
oh I believe! you love us with your whole,
ghostly self.'
Muse strikes him
Like a lightening bolt,
and he cries as he plays revelation notes
on his strings.
A teenage girl, with a sad, sad soul.
She stands, and she reaches also - to a God
she never believed in. Her innocent, paled arms were
Scarred with her hate. Her eyes plagued with pain
of an eternity - Her weak arms trembling against the weight,
her shoulders breaking, chipping pieces of bone drifting to the ground -
as listlessly as her whisper. She held her hands up, and
let a man take the weight for her.
As she collapsed, collapsed to the ground, her eyes looked
Once more, to her Savior.
'You stand, so strong, fuerte.' Her voice seeped past her lips, the 'f' slithering through her teeth.
'I cannot, cannot bear this pain anymore.'
He stands, and He says,
'Yes, you can.'
She stands, wipes the nearly tears from her eyes,
glares at the weight he carries and rips it from his shoulders.
'I won't let it plague me anymore!' she cried,
'I cannot let this plague me any longer…'
She fell to the ground, and let her best friend drift away.
Useless apologies tumble from her broken lips,
and he turns away as he falls.
She sits, and she stays, too weak to
even stand. But her strength will slowly,
slowly return to her.
She stands, braces herself against a window,
and stumbles through.
The glass shatters, sun rays bouncing endlessly against the
reflecting mirrors. She reaches her hands out, and suddenly she's dressed in white,
her blonde hair stunningly platinum. A single cut falls down her
poised leg, and it bleeds, soaking blood down her skin. She's not scared, she's not scared! She lets herself fall, her bright blue eyes gazing at the bright blue sky. Gorgeous clouds danced for her, twinkling beneath the sun.
The air whooshing past catches her, and she falls gently onto matted grass,
bright Green grass, and night seeps into the sky to let her rest.
The trees reach down and heal her wounds,
And she wakes up a new woman. Her eyes, wide and innocent again.
Her dress, flawlessly white.
Her will, naive.
Her life, utterly changed.
Because she wasn't scared,
She reached against her instinct,
and fell, tumbling, into a lapse of fate.
Forever, amen.
