I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, and a day in Philadelphia. I took hundreds of pictures, some specifically for the art of the shot. Here are the good ones, imo.
At night I walked around the streets of Phili and grabbed some pictures. The first is just an alleyway near the hotel I stayed at, the second is City Hall, all lit up nice like.
Phili during the day. I love the skyline there. Way better than LA, which is what I'm used to.
Leaving Phoenix International to Mexico. There was a problem on the runway, so all the planes lined up in little rows.
This is the view from the hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Kind of an ugly building, but the palm trees and background make up for it.
Puerto Vallarta is a major center for art. Sculptures and painters lined the quays. Waiting for all the people to walk by took nearly 5 minutes. Everyone wanted to pose in the arches, where I was trying to line the angel up (it's actually a very large angel statue and those are small arches, but I was close to the arches, the statue is far away.)
There were a couple ship of the lines that were sailing around. If I had my guess I would say they were *inspired* by late 1700s tall ships. They were diesel powered tourist attractions, but I can't help loving the look of the old sailing vessels. Also, the last ship pic I think is my favorite of all the ones I took.
We took a boat from the city to the fishing village of Yalepa. These pictures I think do the best to illustrate the beauty of the area. The first one is coming into the Bay of Banderas, where looking over the side of the boat you could see fish swimming around. The water was crystal clear, it was amazing, as further illustrated in the second pic. The third is a waterfall in the jungle behind the village.
This was on the beach of Yalepa. It was so cliche i had to set up the shot. Really happy with the way this one came out too.
We ate at a restaurant called La Leche. This peacock showed up at our table, and would take bread from your hand. So in trade for the bread, I grabbed some great pics of it.
