|TITLE| The Stars. |RATING| G. |THEME| Nature? Earth? Science? Stars? |STYLE| Freestyle. |NOTES| Again, this was a spur-of-the-moment poem, as per usual. I also wrote it whilst listening to the Witch's Aria from the SciFi show Merlin. Would you sit with me And watch the stars gaze down, So peacefully, Yet so disturbed? Would you occupy my time With your marvels and interest At the world around us, And disturb my time? And would the stars wait for us To return, so many days later, For our last breaths To disturb them? In the end, Would we lie together and watch, Watch them twinkle so energetically While we are undisturbed by the world? Can everything ever truly be okay Without the breath of the world As it turns, so peacefully, While it is forever disturbed? Will things be the same In a decade, A millennium passes, And we've been so disturbed by everything? Will you lie here And watch with me the stars, So bright and peaceful, While we refuse to be disturbed?

I liked it, the repetition seemed to add on a bit of mystery to the poem, as if totally the opposite of the chaos you so described the world as being. A bit, encouraging - it seemed to ask something from someone that everyone would be willing to give : the ability to be unaffected, if only for a day, if only while you're together - could things be okay?
Ah, isn't the the great joy of a joining of people ? If only for a night, or day, or afternoon, or moment, then it'll be okay, just then. Just for that moment. Ha, it's curious, I had this happen just yesterday.
To just get caught in a moment with someone , just have it suspended in time and utterly, barely is the clock ticking... Hmm, I loved it. It reminded me of Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol.
