Short Stories. In my opinion short stories are one of the more difficult pieces of writing to undertake, and to do well. You have much less room to get across your meaning, and far less tools. These are often characterized by concepts rather than morals (though Aesop's fables definitely kicks that theory's butt) and are meant to show hypocrisy of culture, or other blindness we have adapted. Of course, those are usually the more intense short stories. There are few which are as lighthearted as cherubs.
Requirements:
- There is no limit on length (other than the one given by probards which I think is 15000 characters) but you can only post one Story per thread (even if it's a sequel).
- Take what praise or questions that are directed to you with a level of indulgence; not everyone is as intimate with your characters as you are. We may have questions, or need clarification.
- Be patient with responses.
- Please put a warning if your theme consists of racial discrimination, extreme language, nudity, extreme violence, etc etc.
